**Must attend both days.** Why is the English language so confusing? Would it surprise you to learn that only 4 percent of all English words in print defy explanation and are truly irregular! This is a 2 day workshop designed to work within your current reading and spelling program. Day 1 will focus on going beyond basic letter sounds and will dive deep into the 6 types of syllables and complex spelling patterns. Teachers will rotate through interactive learning stations. In Day 2, teachers will develop a systematic scope and sequence for teaching phonics and design a 10-15 minute structured, multi-sensory, cognitive and flexible lesson that can be easily incorporated into current programs.
